The Project
The homeowner was preparing for basement renovations and wanted to address deteriorating wood posts and home-inspection concerns.
What the Work Involved
Goodwood General Construction completed the wood basement post replacement beneath the existing beam. Each new steel column received a new concrete footing, and the floor was patched around the column locations.
The progress photos show reinforcing steel before concrete placement, temporary supports during installation, and the connections beneath the beam.
